This just goes to show, Russell Westbrook and Rajon Rondo have a long way to go to catch MJ, fashion-wise.

“I’m the best skater in the [NBA],” Rondo told the Boston Globe in 2008. “I don’t know who’s good, but I’m the best skater in the league. That’s just something I like to do outside the court. A lot of us like to bowl, too, but I’d rather skate. I’m in my own zone.”
The Legend of Rondo continues…
Who is Rondo’s competition for best roller skater in the NBA? My guesses:
And, of course:

Charles Barkley on why Rondo confronted a cameraman after the game:
“He was doing family time, that was the first thing. Second thing, I think he was mad about that jacket he wore.”
Rajon “Hollywood” Rondo and his amazing jacket.

“Hey Rajon. You know how you dislocated your elbow and then popped it back in? I think I just did that with my pancreas.”

Your 2011 Dunk Contest participants:
- Blake Griffin
- Serge Ibaka
- Brandon Jennings
- JaVale McGee
It’s a big man jam on All-Star Weekend, with Brandon Jennings bearing the standard for dunking guards everywhere. Griffin is the clear favorite, with JaVale McGee having the most potential to go Birdman on the contest. I am very afraid that somehow, Nate Robinson is going to sneak into this contest at the last minute.
It’s an uninspiring field, aside from Blake the Quake. It feels like the contest is his to lose - the only way Griffin loses is if there’s an impressive little guy against him, and Jennings is not that guy. Griffin versus other bigs is no competition at all. David Stern seems more interested in gift-wrapping a victory for a marketable young star than in holding an entertaining event.
Remember last year’s H.O.R.S.E. competition, where Kevin Durant faced off with Rajon Rondo and Omri Casspi? Rondo can’t shoot, and Casspi was playing H.O.R.S.E. for the very first time. It could not have been easier for KD, and this should also be a piece of cake for Griffin. However, Griffin plays for the Clippers, so there’s roughly equal probability that Griffin hoists the trophy and that Griffin ruptures his patella in Round One.
