Ed Reed would have picked off this pass and returned it for a touchdown.
Or, at the very least, he would have picked off the pass, run it back 40 or 50 yards, then lost the ball trying to lateral to a teammate. But still!

Four weeks ago, Peyton Manning threw an overtime interception to lose a game versus the Cowboys, and dropped the Colts to 6-6. Now, he’s led Indianapolis to four straight wins and, improbably, the third seed in the AFC playoffs. Without any semblance of a run game, he’s thrown for 4700 yards, the eleventh-best total in NFL history.
Best of all, he can rub it in his brother’s face. Despite having identical records, Peyton’s Colts will host a playoff game, while Eli’s Giants will only be hosting viewing parties, while reviewing Tom Coughlin’s off-season conditioning schedule and cursing DeSean Jackson’s name. Even Cooper can lord it over Eli for at least eight more months.

“What did I do? I sat in a room with the lights out for about two and a half hours. It’s not funny. It’s not the way it’s supposed to be.”
— Tom Coughlin, on his eventful Sunday night.

Dan Carpenter missed four field goals - albeit, four difficult ones - in the Dolphins’ three-point loss to Buffalo today. He’d be the worst kicker of the week - if the Giants’ Matt Dodge hadn’t punted the ball to DeSean Jackson. Carpenter ought to send Dodge a thank-you note - but he should make sure he gets a forwarding address, because Dodge might already be cleaning out his locker at the New Meadowlands.
