Eagles release Brian Westbrook
It’s a sad day for one of the greatest Eagles of all time, and a rough week for the Westbrook family, as Byron Westbrook got arrested for driving under the influence on Friday.
The real news is that the Westbrook brothers are named Brian and Byron. Brian and Byron! It’s really unfair to the younger, less famous brother. I’d be drinking too if every time I met someone new, I had to say, “No, it’s BY-ron. B-Y-R-O-N,” or, “You’re thinking of my successful, rich, Pro Bowler brother. I play special teams poorly for the Redskins.” Post-concussion syndrome might be easier to deal with than that.
