Tim Tebow threw for 316 yards yesterday, and it reminded everyone of John 3:16, but let’s not forget Ben Roethlisberger threw for 289. And Proverbs 28:9 says:
“If one turns away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer is an abomination.” In other words, the Lord does not consider an out-of-court settlement to be penance for Big Ben’s crimes.

Denver had the Son of God. Pittsburgh had Ben Roethlisberger looking like Fat Superman. No contest.

Anonymous asked:
Tebow passed for 316 yards. 3:16. “John 3:16 summarizes Jesus’ lesson to Nicodemus: that belief in Jesus is the path to eternal life.”

(via nfloffseason)

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

And don’t forget John 3:17 - “For God shall smite the fiend and bruise his ankle, He will poppeth the shotgun snap over the fiend’s head, and He shall strippeth the ball from his evil hands as the fiend drives for the game-tying score, and all who took His Son and the 7.5 points shall prosper.”

“We beat the Ravens! We’re going to the Championship Game! And best of all, I’m not going to prison!”

Even though their starting quarterback broke his nose on their first possession, the Steelers rallied to beat the Ravens, 13-10. Roethlisberger wasn’t adversely affected by the broken nose much at all, probably because he’s been punched and pepper-sprayed so often on “dates” that he’s used to stinging pain and watering eyes.
