nbaoffseason:

Candy stores in the greater Los Angeles area, this is your lucky day! Candy enthusiast and former Sixth Man of the Year Lamar Odom is returning to the Los Angeles Clippers, in a four-team trade that will send Mo Williams to the Utah Jazz. In return, Dallas gets a trade exception (from Utah’s Mehmet Okur trade), while Houston gets a second-round pick from Utah, and sends cash to the Mavs.
Why was Houston involved at all? Because Daryl Morey is more addicted to trades than Odom is to Skittles.

Seriously, we’re all excited about Lamar in LA, but has anyone checked on Daryl Morey? Is he OK? Has he slept in the last 96 hours? I hope he’s not rocking back and forth in his office with the lights off, muttering “Dwight Howard” and “Gotta get assets. Gotta get assets” over and over again.

"I can hear your heart beating, Mo. I know you feel what I’m feeling. What do you say we get out of here, go somewhere private, and get to know each other better? Shaun can run the point, it’s cool. Come on, Mo. Pretend like this is a low-percentage three-point shot - don’t pass this up."

“You go out and compete against a guy every day, but obviously you’ve got to be a fan of the game, and what we call in the urban world, you can’t be a hater.”
— Mo Williams, tipping his cap to Rajon Rondo while seriously underestimating the extent that “urban” language has spread into mainstream culture.
