“I’M SO GLAD I DON’T PLAY FOR CHARLOTTE ANYMORE!!!!”
Charlotte Bobcats hire Rich Cho as new GM - InsideHoops
So, Rick Cho helps Michael Jordan dump Gerald Wallace’s salary, and in return, Jordan hands him the GM job? Actually, since Paul Allen is still paying Cho the balance of his salary, it’s another cash-saving move from Jordan. Cho might be excited to use the first-round pick he traded to Charlotte to get Wallace, but let’s be realistic: Jordan is going to sell that pick, probably to cover a gambling debt.
I like this move. Rich was pretty quiet in his one year as GM, but with injuries and Roy drama and apparent front office collapse, I think his hands were a LITTLE tied.
“I can hear your heart beating, Mo. I know you feel what I’m feeling. What do you say we get out of here, go somewhere private, and get to know each other better? Shaun can run the point, it’s cool. Come on, Mo. Pretend like this is a low-percentage three-point shot - don’t pass this up.”

Laid-back Diaw fuels Bobcats in own, unique way
Things I learned in this story about Charlotte’s Boris Diaw:
- Diaw rides a Segway to the arena every day, even in the winter, when he has to drag the scooter over ice patches.
- Derek Fisher has played the most consecutive games in the NBA. Jarrett Jack is second, and surprisingly, Diaw is third.
- Diaw isn’t proud of that: “It doesn’t mean you’re doing well on the court. It means you’re on the court.”
- Other Bobcats gets upset with Diaw because he never gets upset about anything, but eventually give up, because he doesn’t react to their anger either.
- When Nazr Mohammed told Diaw too shoot more, he said, “If you pass me the ball, I shoot it sometimes. Sometimes I don’t want to shoot.”
Tyson Chandler decides not to opt out of $12.7 M contract
Originally reported on ESPN Duh.
I predict that this is the last day we will hear about Tyson Chandler’s contract without the word “expiring” in the middle of it.
