My stream cut out right before RVP missed a potential aggregate equalizer; the illegal broadcast ran out of gas the same time Arsenal did. Still, quite an effort by a team with only two midfielders and very little hope.
Now it’s time to focus on the league and preserve fourth place. If you have an offering for St. Totteringham, now is the time to make it.

If you haven’t been paying attention, Arsenal are currently 3-0 up on AC Milan at the half. After a 4-0 drubbing at the San Siro a few weeks back, Arsenal were considered by most to be dead in the water on the tie, but early goals from Koscielny and Rosicky, as well as a penalty from Van Persie. Arsenal are very close to making an incredible comeback, but a single goal from Milan could derail the whole thing.

And the moment Arsenal had been waiting for came with 12 minutes left as Henry gathered Song’s pass in his stride before sparking scenes of ecstasy on and off the pitch with a perfect angled finish.

Sigh.

Thierry Henry, Thierry Henry, Thierry Henry, Thierry Henry!

A very happy birthday to Robin van Persie of the Arsenal, who turns 28 today. I know it’s not all on you lad, but please, for the love of God, win SOMETHING this year. OK?

Seconded, and seconded.

Theo Walcott: “We made Chelsea look average at times… We [him and Cesc] play FIFA together so it was a good little ‘X’ [for the pass]!”

Andrei Arshavin may have to step up his XBox game if he wants to stay on the pitch with Fabregas.

Eduardo has had many impressive saves today, but one fewer than he needed.

He was really good today - Man of the Match for Portugal. Maybe he’d like to come play at Emirates Stadium next year - after all, going from the Arsenalistas to Arsenal should be an easy transition.

Cesc Fabregas doesn’t let a broken leg keep him from drilling a game-tying penalty kick against Barcelona in the Champions League. Afterward he said, “The injury was bad but I would have done it anyway.”  Dude is a badass.
