The view from inside the ping pong arena. Look how small that table is!
The photographer says it was “like a rave inside the table tennis stadium,” but it also reminds me of a Virgin America flight. Shouldn’t they hold Olympic ping pong in someone’s garage, or at least on a messy backyard patio? There should be a broken neon beer sign, a bunch of half-empty paint cans, and at least one dog running around, to truly reflect the sport.
