Perils of the Olympic live-stream: Becoming temporarily devastated when a left-handed Danish table tennis player loses a heartbreakingly close match; a match you only stayed tuned into because swimming was over and you thought the guy (Michael Maze) had a hilarious headband. He’s got so much heart! He got a yellow card for throwing the ping pong ball! Did you know table tennis even HAD yellow cards?
Anyway, congratulations to Dimitrij Ovtcharov, and here’s hoping Maze deals with his defeat by growing a gigantic Richie Tenenbaum beard. Do they allow aviator glasses in table tennis?
