Darren Oliver hit Nick Swisher in the pant leg with a slider. It would have forced in a run, but the umpires missed it. That would be quite an injustice, except Swisher forgot to take acting lessons from the team captain. Swisher popped out, the Yankees didn’t score, and Cliff Lee should be very well-rested for Game One of the World Series.
